LFKM10358 Companion Animal Diagnostic Imaging - Cross Sectional Imaging, CT and MRI. Spring 2012

To provide knowledge on the digital image modalities CT and MRI. The physical principles of the two modalities will be taught as well as indications, pros and cons of the two modalities. Interpretation of images from the modalities will be based on anatomical regions. Special emphasize chest CT including cases of metastatic lesions and columnar and brains scans. The use of multiplanar reconstruction in CT will be included in the course as well. Conventional radiographs and special examinations (myolography etc) will be included when indicated

LFKM10359 Companion Animal Diagnostic Imaging - Ultrasonography, Autumn 2012

To provide advanced level in techniques, practical skills and interpretation of ultra-sonography. The course will be divided into to parts – one at a basic level introducing ultrasonographic examination including sonographic medical physics and an advanced part in which the participants should have acquired some routine in abdominal scans that can be further developed into an advanced level.

LFKM10360 Companion Animal Diagnostic Imaging - Advanced Diagnostic Imaging, Spring 2013

To provide advanced level in techniques and interpretation of diagnostic imaging modalities. The student will work in al available modalities including conventional radiographs, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, ultra-sonography. An introduction to nuclear medicine including scintigraphy will be included.
